Planning to travel to South Korea? Here are great news for you! Seoul will be easing the visa application process for Filipino citizens.
According to South Korea envoy to the Philippines, their government will relax visa requirements for Filipinos who want to visit the land of K-pop and K-dramas.
During the 70th anniversary celebration of Philippine and South Korea on Sunday, June 2, 2019, Korean Ambassador to the Philippines Han Dong-Man, stated that their embassy will simplify the documents needed for visa application to encourage Filipinos to visit Korea.
Filipinos May Apply for Multiple- Entry Visa
The number of documents needed will be decreased especially for professionals, media and government workers. Ambassador Han said that for professionals, businesspersons and government workers will be eligible for multiple visa entry for 5 to 10 years with a single paper mentioning “I’m working in this company”.
Citizens of the Philippines and other ASEAN countries may apply for multiple- entry visa to South Korea.
The Korean Ambassador also mentioned that their government is considering bringing more Filipino visitors to Korea this year.
In addition, Mr. Han also said there will be increase in scholarships offered by South Korea to Filipinos.
