Here are the Philippine Regular Holidays and Special Non-Working Days for 2024.
Travel enthusiasts, time to plan your vacation for 2024! Malacanang Palace released the 2024 List of Philippine holidays and special days on Friday, October 13, 2023.
The Proclamation No. 368 signed by Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. thru Executive Sectary Lucas Bersamin declared 20 national holidays for 2024.
The PD No. 68 named 10 Philippine regular holidays, four (4) Special Non-working days and four (4) Additional Special Non-working days, with a total of eighteen (18) Philippine National Holidays.
The proclamation regarding the two (2) Islamic holidays: Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha are included in this proclamation but no specific dates yet. These will be proclaimed once the approximate dates of the Islamic holidays have been decided in accordance with the Islamic Calendar (Hijra) or the Lunar Calendar. The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos shall recommend to the office of the President the actual dates these holidays will fall.
The commemoration of the EDSA Anniversary is not in the list of Philippine holidays. As per Malacanang, February 25, 2024 falls on a Sunday and no need to be proclaimed as a holiday because most workers will be on their rest day.

Long Weekends for 2024
Upon checking the List of Philippine Holidays, we found that there are five (5) long weekends which can be used for travel or take a vacation. The dates are as follows:
December 30, 2023 to January 1, 2024- Saturday to Monday
March 28- 31, 2024 (Holy Week)- Thursday to Sunday
August 24- 26, 2024- Saturday to Monday
November 1- 3, 2024- Friday to Sunday
December 28, 2024 to December 31, 2024 – Saturday to Tuesday (the holiday can be until January 1, 2025 if the New Year 2025 is declared as a regular holiday).

Work Done on Regular Holidays and Special Non-Working Days
Proclamation No. 368 s. 2024 is also important to workers in the Philippines. The said PD 368 series of 2023 directs the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to promulgate the implementing guidelines for the labor sector.
An employee in the Philippines working on a regular holiday or special non-working day is entitled to additional premium on top of the regular salary.
Worker’s Pay on Holidays. For work done on a regular holiday, a worker receives an additional 100 % of the basic daily pay and 30% of daily basic pay for work done on a Special Non-Working Day.
