PHILIPPINE PASSPORT APPLICATION: List of Acceptable IDs and Supporting Documents

VERY IMPORTANT: Photocopy ALL your Original IDs (front and back) and Documents before you visit the DFA office.

Philippine Biometric Passports or E Passport

Philippine Passport LIST OF ACCEPTABLE IDS (At least 1 of the following):

Government-issued picture IDs such as the following:

  • Digitized SSS ID or UMID
  • Driver’s License
  • GSIS E-card
  • PRC ID or Professional Regulatory Commission ID
  • IBP ID or Integrated Bar of the Philippines ID
  • OWWA ID or Overseas Worker’s Welfare Association ID
  • Digitized BIR ID or Digitized Bureau of Internal Revenue ID
  • Senior Citizen’s ID

Other acceptable picture IDs such as the following:

  • Old College ID
  • Alumni ID
  • Old Employment ID

LIST OF SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS (At least 2 of the following):

  • Voter’s ID
  • PSA Marriage Contract
  • Land Title
  • Seaman’s Book
  • Elementary or High School Form 137 or Transcript of Records with readable dry seal
  • Government Service Record
  • NBI Clearance or National Bureau of Investigation Clearance
  • Police Clearance
  • Barangay Clearance

You can also bring Old documents issued at least one year prior to date of application that show correct name, date and place of birth, picture and signature of applicant such as the following:

  • NSO Birth Certificate of child / children
  • SSS-E1 Form or Microfilmed Copy of SSS-E1 Form
  • Income Tax Return
  • Voter’s Certification, List of Voters and Voter’s Registration Record (for newly issued VRR, please attach receipt)
  • School Yearbook
  • Community Tax Certificate or Cedula

  4. hi po ask ko lng po i need to renew my passport and the only picture id i have is a company id. Is that considered as picture id and can it be used as a substitute for a gov-issued id? thanks in advance

  5. hello po maam , gusto ko lang pong malaman kong makakakuha na ba ako ng passport , ito po ang meron ako , OLD COLLEGE ID , Dressmaking NC11 ID (may nakalagay po na VALID until December) , POSTAL ID (New digitized ID PREMIUM ) , NBI CLEARANCE , POLICE CLEARANCE (Pero po hindi pa po siya expired kaso ang naka lagay po ay 17 years old pero 18 na po ako bukas, tatanggapin din ba nila ? kahit 17 years old ang nakalagay? ) , Barangay Clearance ( sa barangay clearance po ba kailangan ang nakalagay for PASSPORT purposes ?) , BIRTH CERTIFICATE (kukunin ko pa lang ngayong buwan kasi nag file ako para ma change you na mispelled na name sa mama at papa ko ) and SSS – E1- form po… yon lang po lahat ang meron ako ..

    MAKAKAKUHA NA PO BA AKO ??? please reply po ,, need ko po talaga ng mga advices sa mga kakailanganin…

  7. Meron n po ako birth certificate,nbi,2 valid(old college&employment id,postal id)ask ko lng po if pede po b n mkkuha n ko ng passport if yn lng po requirements ko po.tnx..

    • Digitized postal ID is considered a primary ID and can be used for passport application. On the other hand, Philhealth card is a secondary ID which you can use as supporting ID

  14. Hi po . Ask ko lang if wala po b nung any govt id’s listed above, means pwede po yung alumni ID? Based po sa sinabi niyo po?
